FastyTasky Privacy Policy

Introduction

FastyTasky ("we," "our," or "us") respects your family's privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information the FastyTasky app (our "App") stores on your behalf and our practices for maintaining and protecting that information.

The short version: FastyTasky has no accounts, no sign-in, no servers of our own, no ads, and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your family's own private iCloud storage. We never see any of it.

Information Stored by the App

Information You Provide

• Tasks and Groups: Chore names, emoji, point values, schedules, and reminder times you set up
• Completions and Points: Which tasks were completed, when, and the points earned
• Child Profiles: First names (or nicknames) and emoji you choose for each child's profile
• Rewards and Redemptions: Rewards you create and when they are redeemed
• Session History: Timed chore-session durations and outcomes
• Parent PIN: An optional PIN protecting parent-only areas, stored exclusively in the device Keychain (never synced, never exported)

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Basic device information (device type, iOS version) required for iCloud synchronization, managed entirely by Apple CloudKit

Information We Do NOT Collect

FastyTasky does NOT collect:

• Names, email addresses, or any account information (there are no accounts)
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or calendar information
• Health or financial data
• Device identifiers for tracking (IDFA, etc.)
• Analytics or usage tracking data
• Advertising data

We do NOT track you or your children across apps or websites. FastyTasky contains zero advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs, and makes no network connections to any server operated by us.

How Your Information Is Used

The information stored by the App is used solely to:

• Provide the App's core functionality of tracking chores, points, and rewards
• Sync your family's data across your own devices using Apple's CloudKit
• Show your data in the App's home-screen widget and Live Activity on your device
• Schedule local reminder notifications you configure (an optional setting can hide task names from notification text on a shared lock screen)

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

Your family's data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData, Apple's database framework. The optional parent PIN is stored only in the device Keychain, Apple's encrypted credential store.

CloudKit Synchronization

If your device is signed into iCloud, the App uses Apple's CloudKit to synchronize your data across devices signed into the same Apple ID. This data is stored in your personal, private iCloud database — we have no access to it — and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Parent Gate (Face ID / Passcode)

Parent-only areas are protected by Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode via Apple's local authentication system. Biometric data is processed entirely by iOS on the device; the App never sees, stores, or transmits it.

Third-Party Services

Apple Inc. (iCloud CloudKit)

• Purpose: Cross-device synchronization within your own iCloud account
• Data Shared: Your chore, points, reward, and profile data (stored in your private iCloud database, encrypted by Apple)
• Privacy Policy: apple.com/legal/privacy
• Control: Managed through your device's iCloud settings

There are no other third-party services. FastyTasky has no backend of its own.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade any information — we never receive it in the first place. Your data exists only on your devices and in your own iCloud account.

Data Retention and Deletion

How Long Your Data Is Kept

• Local Data: Stored on your device until you delete the app or manually delete your data
• iCloud Data: Stored in your iCloud account until you sign out, delete the app, or manually delete

Export and Import

You can export your family's data to a file at any time from Settings. Export files are created on your device and go only where you choose to save or share them; the exported file never includes the parent PIN.

How to Delete Your Data

You can delete your data at any time from within the App's Settings, or by deleting the App. If you have enabled iCloud synchronization, you can remove any remaining synced data through your device's iCloud settings (Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Account Storage).

Children's Privacy

FastyTasky is designed for families and is used by children under parental supervision.

• No Collection: We do not collect personal information from anyone — including children. All data stays on the family's devices and in the family's own private iCloud account
• COPPA Compliance: Because no personal information is transmitted to us or any third party (other than Apple's private iCloud sync under the parent's Apple ID), no verifiable parental consent for data collection is required — there is nothing collected to consent to
• Parental Control: Creating and editing profiles, tasks, and rewards is protected by the parent gate (Face ID / passcode / PIN)
• No Ads or External Links for Children: The App contains no advertising and no unprotected external links

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. The date of the latest revision will be indicated at the top of the privacy policy. It is your responsibility to check for updates.
